Ad hoc est une expression latine qui signifie « destiné spécialement à un usage ». Cette expression est invariable :
- des arguments ad hoc
Elle s’emploie également avec un nom de personne au sens de « qui est qualifié, qui convient à la situation » :
- un tuteur ad hoc
- un expert ad hoc
Comme l’expression est entrée dans l’usage français, elle s’écrit en caractères ordinaires.
