Affréter un navire, un avion, un camion, c’est le louer pour transporter des marchandises. Quant à affrètement, il désigne le contrat de location, et non le voyage.
- Dans ce cas, affréter un avion est la solution à privilégier.
- L’affrètement de camions est sa spécialité.
Par conséquent, on ne peut pas dire affréter quelque chose d’un lieu à un autre (pas plus qu’on ne dirait louer quelque chose d’un lieu à un autre). On doit donc ajouter l’expression pour aller :
- Affréter un avion pour aller de Montréal à Paris. (et non : Affréter un avion de Montréal à Paris.)
