Lorsqu’il a le sens d’« approuver, recevoir favorablement », le verbe agréer est transitif direct (appelle un complément d’objet direct) :
- Ella a agréé cette demande.
- Veuillez agréer, Madame, mes salutations distinguées.
Lorsqu’il a le sens de « convenir à, plaire à », il est transitif indirect (appelle un complément d’objet indirect) :
- Ce candidat agrée à l’ensemble des électeurs.
- Cette proposition agrée à toute la famille.
- Si cette idée vous agrée, nous partirons à l’aube.
