Dans la langue parlementaire, on amende un texte, c’est-à-dire qu’on l’améliore, entre le moment où il est soumis comme projet et celui où il est adopté à titre de loi :
- amender un projet de loi
Par contre, on modifie une loi, une norme, etc.
