Le nom assermentation est attesté sans réserve dans certaines sources canadiennes, parfois comme canadianisme.
Il est bien formé et d’un usage courant au Canada.
On pourra préférer ce terme à l’expression prestation de serment, qui demeure correcte :
- l’assermentation des témoins
- l’assermentation des nouveaux ministres du cabinet provincial
