L’expression anglaise Boxing Day désigne le lendemain de Noël (le 26 décembre), jour où l’on trouve des rabais importants sur le prix des marchandises en magasin.
Il vaut mieux lui préférer une formulation française :
- après-Noël/Après-Noël (noms communs)
- lendemain de Noël
- liquidation du 26 décembre
- prix d’après Noël
- soldes d’après Noël
- soldes de l’Après-Noël
- soldes du lendemain de Noël
Exemples
- Cette année, je profiterai des soldes d’après Noël.
- La liquidation du 26 décembre attire beaucoup de clients.
- L’après-Noël n’offre pas que de bonnes affaires…
