Le mot cible se joint au nom par simple juxtaposition, comme dans une apposition ordinaire. Il remplit alors la fonction d’adjectif. Il s’écrit sans trait d’union et prend la marque du pluriel :
- avion cible (des avions cibles)
- une clientèle cible (des clientèles cibles)
- un public cible (des publics cibles)
