Il n’y a pas lieu de condamner l’emploi d’échapper comme verbe transitif direct, au lieu de laisser échapper (c’est-à-dire « laisser tomber involontairement ») :

  • Il suivit leur regard et, de stupeur, il échappa son colis sur ses pieds.(R. Lemelin)
  • Le gamin a échappé son ourson dans la boue.
