La tournure envoyer (quelqu’un) + infinitif s’emploie couramment sans la préposition pour si le complément d’envoyer fait l’action de l’infinitif :
- J’ai envoyé mon mari faire le marché.
- Elle m’a envoyé faire mes devoirs.
La préposition pour s’emploie parfois pour indiquer que l’infinitif exprime le but du sujet d’envoyer :
- Ils ont envoyé des représentants pour convaincre la direction.
- Je préfère t’envoyer pour négocier le prix de la chambre.
Il faut employer la préposition pour si le complément d’envoyer ne fait pas l’action exprimée par l’infinitif :
- J’ai envoyé un messager pour gagner du temps.
