Si on peut sans problème impartir un délai, on ne peut en revanche parler d’impartition de délais.
L’impartition désigne le recours aux services d’un tiers par souci d’économie. C’est donc un terme technique restreint au domaine de la gestion de l’entreprise, où il s’emploie dans le contexte de la passation des contrats. Si l’on doit absolument employer délai avec un nom d’action, on parlera plutôt de :
- la détermination de délais
- l’établissement de délais
- la fixation de délais
