En français, un résumé est un compte rendu, un sommaire.
Le document qui résume la formation d’une personne ainsi que ses expériences professionnelles s’appelle un curriculum vitæ et non un résumé. Sous l’influence de l’anglais resume (ou résumé), on utilise parfois résumé dans ce sens, mais il s’agit d’un anglicisme, plus précisément d’un faux ami.
