On écrit l’adjectif masculin subit avec un t au sens de « soudain, brusque ». Le féminin est subite :
- un décès subit
- une mort subite
- des événements subits
- des chutes subites de la demande
Il ne faut pas confondre subit avec subi(e), le participe passé du verbe subir :
- l’examen qu’il a subi
- une opération subie avec succès
- les dommages subis
- des souffrances subies
