To write plainly and concisely, use because instead of the roundabout phrase for the reason that. Other possibilities include as, considering, given that, seeing that and since.
- Everyone supports the committee’s recommendations because (not for the reason that) no better ones exist.
- Selecting a team is not easy, seeing that (not for the reason that) every candidate is highly qualified.
